GEOCELL – GEOWEB

The Geoweb® is a high-density, three-dimensional, flexible high-density polyethylene (HDPE) cell containment system that requires cells to be filled with suitable materials such as soil, granular materials, soil-cement or concrete, according with the desired application.

APPLICATIONS

• Channel coating: it is a high performance solution, it adds the low manning of the concrete to the practicality and speed of execution, without the use of forms or joints of expansion. Besides the concrete coating, gravel or vegetable soil may be used as the filler, depending on the velocity of the water flow in the canal.

• Edge protection: it is an efficient and easy to execute solution, the surface remains smooth, not allowing the deposit of waste or residues that present in the water.

• Erosion control: it is a practical and efficient solution. The cells function as vessels, retaining the soil and plants and letting the water flow and the roots pass between them.

• Re-vegetation of concrete slopes, it leaves a nice appearance, reduces heat on site and contributes to the environment. Can be used on steep slopes with up to 1:3 (72˚) of inclination.

Sanitary landfill closure: It ensures a green and stable surface on the geomembrane, preserving its integrity.

• Flexible pavements: it is the best solution when the vehicles weight is high and the soil has low support capability, such as in harbours, manoeuvring yards and access roads. The Geoweb® distributes the load stresses by generating lower loads at the base and sub-bed.

• Pavementing: where there is no presence of granular material, to make the base and sub-base of the pavement. Geoweb® can be filled with sand, replacing the granular layer.

• Temporary or definitive paths on beaches or sand dunes: Geoweb® is easy and quick to install, guaranteeing immediate transitability to the pavement, and can be removed and reused without leaving residues or causing damage to the environment.
