Additives are products that when added in small amounts to concretes and Portland mortar cements or compatible agglomeratings, modify some of their properties to adapt to certain conditions. The additives are used to make concretes, mortars and cement artefacts to modify its properties on fresh or hardened state, adapting them to the application technology and improving its mechanical performance and resistance to physical and chemical requests, making them more economical and durable. Therefore, the additives must be conveniently selected, tested and dosed.
